So my father is completely obsessed with sailing. My sister and her husband bought a sail boat and they go out every chance they get. I think it is great for him to have something he loves to do and that gives him a break from being nurse maid (have I mentioned he is currently taking care of my grandparents and my mother as she deals with chemo!!!!) 
Anyways for his birthday this year we decided to have all the adult take him sailing. We arranged babysitters-thanks Erica and Kylee-and headed out. Unfortunately there was not much wind and even worse the lake (Great Salt Lake) was not as full as it had been the last time they had went out. Those of us who hadn't been sailing before-me, Brett, my Aunt Peggy- got to take a short trip with my dad. We never actually had the wind pick up to experience the JOY of sailing, but it was fun to go out on a sailboat.
Oh yeah and we got ourselves stuck and had to try really hard to get out of the MUCK. This is me on the phone with Ryan who was telling me what Aaron was suggesting to my dad to get us unstuck!!! Oh and he is telling me that since Brett and I had worn out swimsuits we might have to jump in the lake and push the boat back . Luckily the genius (this is what we call my dad) was able to get us back to shore. 
We had great view of the sunset, enjoyed a picnic dinner and had some great conversation!!!!

You look AWESOME! I loved the story- but I loved figuring out that the skinny girl was you! Keep up the good work and tell Brett he better watch out!
