So I received an email from a friend about the origins of the Memorial Day Holiday. I bet you didn't know that is to honor those people who died fighting for our country. My whole life I thought it was to remember our family and friends that had died. But it is specifically to honor those military people who died fighting for the freedoms we too often take for granted. WOW!!! You learn something new each day.
We were lucky enough to have family in form out of town and got to spend some time visiting with them. We had a bar-b-que at Grandma and Grandpa Henderson's house. It was touching since it may be the last family party we have there since they are selling their house. I LOVE my grandparents yard and have many found memories of "too-many-to-name" parties there!!!
Since I got in trouble with the sisters for not posting pictures with ALL my blogs I am going to upload some of the fun photos from the night.
